3rd Annual Los Angeles IPA Festival

Find over 60 different California-brewed IPA’s at Mohawk Bend this Saturday during the LA IPA Fest. This event operates differently than a typical festival – instead of tickets, interested individuals may only make a reservation as a group of six of more. Reservations only last 90 minutes, and require a minimum order of $30 per individual. All beer servings cost $4 for an 8oz serving, meaning that every person must purchase at least eight pours. To make a reservation, send an email to to indicate the amount of people in your reservation and the time that your party will arrive. Guests should park in the neighborhood north of Mohawk Bend.

This looks like another big corporate beer festival, so stay wary. This one takes place in Downtown San Diego, and will take place over two 4-hour sessions: 12-4pm and 5-9pm. The evening session will include a movie screening of Anchorman plus another secret movie. General admission costs $45 per session or $75 for both sessions, while a VIP admission exists that costs $125.

Phantom Carriage Brewery’s One Year Anniversary Celebration

Phantom Carriage turns a year old this week, and to celebrate, they will have their very own festival at their tasting room in Carson this Saturday. Blacklight Run – Irvine

The fun run madness continues with this nightly run through Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. This run takes place at night, and requires participants to wear all white while getting splattered with neon powder throughout the blacklight-filled course. By the end of the run, all participants will glow with many different colors and enjoy seeing a sea of glowing runners at the afterparty. Registration costs $20 by Wednesday and $45 afterwards, and comes with an event t-shirt, a glow pack to throw at other runners AFTER you have crossed the finish line, and a goodie bag full of items from the event sponsors.
