In recent years, Anaheim has really boomed as a city to visit for their landmarks other than the Disneyland collective. From the Packing District to Downtown, Anaheim has added destinations for visitors other than Disney, Angel Stadium, and Honda Center. A lot of history resides in Anaheim, especially in Anaheim Brewery, established 54 years ago. Although brewing since the 60’s, they opened their tasting room about four to five years ago. Specializing in German style beers, Anaheim Brewery represents the concept of “for locals, by locals” with their respect to the community. I do not see their beers at other locations often, so it appears that they may not distribute as much as they could, similar to how Belmont Brewing does not distribute far beyond Long Beach. This past weekend, Anaheim Brewery celebrated a Founder’s Day, where they had some special beers on tap, plus live music and guest food vendors. The special beers included a kölsch and a bockbier. If you missed out on these beers, they will hold another Founder’s Day celebration this upcoming Saturday. Check out Anaheim Brewery on Facebook and Twitter to see what they have in store in the future.
