As part of the annual Long Beach Sea Festival, a series of events taking place during the summer in Long Beach, the 1st Annual Love Long Beach Festival took place at the Granada Launch Ramp near Belmont Shore this past weekend. This FREE and all-ages event featured a plethora of family-fun things to do at the beach, such as sports competitions, a kids zone, arts & crafts, food, drinks, a beer & wine garden, art displays, vendors, and more. Plenty of activities occurred over the weekend to give visitors something to see, from a skating demo to communal yoga to sporting tournaments to live music and more. A handful of the vendors call Long Beach their home, so this festival gave back to the locals in multiple ways. Some of the vendors even gave away free samples over the weekend, such as Chia Pod. For the visitors looking for meals, Chef Paul Buchanan handled the majority of the food court area. Over at the music stage, many art exhibitors set up over to the side, providing a somewhat large open area in front of the stage for a makeshift dance floor. Between bands, a DJ would play dance hits, which eventually turned into EDM once the sun started setting.

Many more events will occur in Long Beach through October, so check out the Long Beach Sea Festival page linked above. Also check out the Facebook page for Alfredo’s Beach Club, as they host a handful of events on the beach too.
